Impact Statement

IMPACT

As our creative process and supply chain continue to stabilise, we are committed to producing products with an awareness of the material impact of our supply chain, continuously measuring, monitoring and managing it

While growth is necessary to sustain our business, the impact of scale is front of mind with all decisions relating to our pace and ambition. This has been fundamental to our strategy since inception.

PRODUCTION

Our proposition is a contained, seasonless offer, high quality materials and expertise, and designs that maintain relevance over time. We choose to grow thoughtfully, aligning production closely with demand with the aim that what we make is wanted, sold and used. We donate relevant waste materials from our atelier to fashion institutions. We monitor the waste in our distribution centres. We minimise and re-use internal packaging and the use of plastics.

SUPPLY CHAIN IMPACT

We have a set of policies and programmes, integrated across our supply chain with the support of partners and technologies

We have selected a small number of distinguished suppliers. They are chosen and known for their precision, quality and expertise. We are using the Fairly Made technology platform to achieve transparency with our suppliers. Our management system is evolving to understand the environmental and social status of our suppliers at each tier.

We have policies on Chemicals, Sustainable Fabrics, Animal Welfare, Waste Management, Code of Conduct and Packaging.

We work annually with Trucost/S&P to calculate the carbon footprint across our operations and value chain. We are a member of the Fur Free Alliance, Leather Working Group and Textile Exchange We do not use exotic skins or exotic feathers in our products, and we are switching our key fibres to certified sustainable options (wool, cotton and viscose). We continue to explore bio-innovative materials.

The card, paper and plastic that we use in our packaging for ready to wear, shoes and jewellery is 100% recyclable (at home or in designated recycling bins).

We are minimising the chemical impact of our production processes through our Restricted Substances List, expert support, and rigorous testing.

REGENERATE

Developing and producing clothing and accessories has a significant environmental footprint. We acknowledge this, and we believe in investing not only in containment but in regeneration. We have partnered with Just Diggit, a Dutch non-profit restoring degraded drylands in Kenya and Tanzania through community-led landscape restoration. They work with local farmers and Maasai women to harvest rainwater, regenerate trees and rebuild ecosystems from the ground up. Our first funded project, bund restoration in Kenya, is underway.
